Assessment for Learning (Afl)
Welcome to the Afl website.
We hope you find the site thought provoking, as well as a resource full of useful ideas and information to support you in teaching children and young people.
The web site has been developed by practitioners working in a range of special school throughout Herts and Bucks to offer practical and innovative ways to support learning.
Daine Croston, an Assessment Advisor in Herts has been instrumental in developing a network of practitioners who have been working together for a number of years to enhance the development/thinking on Alf in special education.
Whilst Afl has now been embedded as a key strategy in mainstream schools, it remains underdeveloped in special education.
We hope this web site goes some way to share good practise as well as provide a bank of useful resources for you to use.
We welcome feedback on the web site, so please get in touch with us – see Contact Us
